Hey everyone, hope you guys have been doing great!
When I was younger, I used to think that timetables were just for kids. *Ironic much haha* But as I grow older, I realized that it is such a silly thought. Discipline is cultivated and we need to constantly practice it. Let me bring in some statistics! According to Forbes ASAP, a typical executive TODAY wastes 150 hours a year, almost one month, searching for lost information. For someone earning $50,000 a year, that translates to a loss of $3,842.
That’s honestly A LOT OF MONEY!
And with this Circuit Breaker, it’s our chance to get back up and be disciplined again! This COVID-19 Period has turned most of us into chefs, fitness enthusiasts and avid readers while the rest of the population is either being a couch potato, binge watching netflix or sleeping most of the time. If you belong to the last category, you are in the right place! Welcome to the club!
I was inspired by this idea through a friend and I really hope it inspires you guys too. Honestly, I am such a lazy person but at the end of day, we eventually need to get things done with discipline and intrinsic motivation.
As the saying goes, “Don't be upset by the results you get from the work you didn't do”.
Let that sink in as I share with you why I love my planner.
I created this very simple planner to track my progress; and I LOVE it because
It's not hidden in an app in my phone, it is staring at me everyday in my room
When I have completed a task, I highlight it yellow & it makes me very happy
Completely customisable and away from my phone
It is such a joy to see progress, almost when teachers used to give us that sticker when we did well in our tests. I think it's important to give ourselves that sticker even when we grow older.

I like to keep my planner simple but feel free to personalize! For me, I like to highlight my completed tasks as yellow and uncompleted ones as orange. But of course, you can choose your own favourite colours! It's honestly super satisfying to see yellow highlights all over the table, and orange highlights are here and there when I have my lazy days. But it's completely up to you to change it.
After all that talk, here it is, my Weekly Planner! Is it worth the brag? You have to figure that out on your own but is it customisable? TOTALLY!
From this, you can tell that I aim to drink 3 Litres of water everyday, and if I fail to, I will write down the actual amount of water I drank for the day. I also added “ Morning Skin Care” and “Night Skin Care” as well. Cause skin care is important even when we are not going out, it doesn't hurt to put on that moisturiser girrl! Feel free to edit & remove any tasks from the sheet!
I also have a Goal Sheet for the year to help me keep track of my monthly progress! Never underestimate the basics, it goes a long way especially in this “Work From Home” period.
This is how I categorize my monthly goals.
Soul - A lot of people tend to forget about improving their inner selves which I like to call “Soul”.
Dish - Basically the dishes I want to learn/master for the month!
Book - Gotta admit, I’m not that much of a reader. So as a starter, I read one book a month.
Weight - My weight goal to achieve for the month! But of course, don’t forget to lose weight in a healthy way!
Business - I also added Business, as i have goals that i want to achieve for TheMeetUpSG every month.
